Our Team

Among our number we have Melissa Bateson, who has been involved with the breed for many years. Melissa fisrt developed a fascination for Maus whilst working in the USA and subsequently introduced the Egyptian Mau into the UK in 1998. We are also privileged to be joined by GCCF show judges who have considerable experience within the GCCF.

About

The Egyptian Mau Society is here to encourage interest in Egyptian Maus, to safeguard their well-being and long-term health, and to provide advice regarding the breeding and welfare of these beautiful cats.

If you share our passion for this beautiful breed, you are welcome to join us on our journey. Make new friends and keep in touch with old friends through our shared love of Egyptian Maus.

It has come to our attention that Egyptian Maus are being advertised for sale through sites such as Pets4Homes and Gumtree. However cats are being advertised that are definitely NOT pedigree Egyptian Maus. Please be aware if you are looking for a kitten. EMS recommends that you contact a reputable breeder in the first instance (such as those listed on our Breeders page)
